Glessner Ave. From Wood St. to Ohio St is closed. Mansfield Police Department Richland County Sheriff’s Department Ontario Police Department is on the scene along with Mansfield and Ontario’s command centers and SWAT teams are on scene Mansfield Fire Department is staged up standing by in case their assistance is needed. According to a witness on the scene, there was a call about a man who was holding five hostages in a house on Glessner when police arrived apparently three of the hostages were released and now there are still two hostages left inside the house. It is currently unknown if police have been able to make contact with the suspect to negotiate hostage release and surrender. Will update further as information comes in.
UPDATE: This was not a hostage situation, everyone eventually came out and surrendered to the police with no one being injured.
