An accident occurred at N. Stewart Rd. and SR 430 when a brown/tan Chevy pickup truck veered off the road. First striking the guide wires for one telephone pole then crossing over N. Stewart Rd. to strike the building and another pole and utility box. The driver also struck the rear end of Joshua Sherriff’s vehicle. The brown/tan Chevy driver fled the scene. Joshua who is the founder of Warrior’s Respite and another veteran chased the pickup truck as it fled the scene. The chase ended when the driver of the small truck crashed while trying to maneuver a turn. The fleeing driver lost control while turning onto Pennsylvania Ave., going into a yard, striking a parked vehicle, and eventually coming to rest hitting a tree head-on. Joshua stated the driver of the truck was heavily intoxicated and just kept trying to apologize and admitting he messed up. Scanner traffic: The accidents are being treated as 2 separate MVAs. The driver was taken into custody.
