Washington Township Fire Department responded to the intersection of Middle Bellville Rd. and Vanderbilt Rd. for a single-vehicle accident. An SUV traveling on Vanderbilt Rd. traveled off the right side of the road striking a tree. Scanner traffic reported the driver was unresponsive and CPR was in progress. The driver was transported to Ohio Health Mansfield and was pronounced deceased shortly after midnight. His wife was notified.
The Ohio Highway State Patrol is investigating the accident.
