Earlier today, the Mifflin Township Fire Department was called out to the westbound rest area of US 30 around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. A trailer being pulled by Stitts Landscaping had caught fire. The driver pulled over into the rest area where he was met by the fire department. Mifflin extinguished the fire in short order. The cause of the fire is unknown.
